"Let's get a nice photo of you both to send to Granny..." Wishful thinking on my part - but this is as good as it gets!!

We've had a fantastic day out exploring two incredible (and completely different) @nationaltrust properties.
.
The morning we spent at Batemans - the home of Rudyard Kipling, a stunning Jacobean house in the East Sussex countryside. In the afternoon, we explored the ruins of a perfect medieval castle, Bodiam Castle, where this pic was taken. We are so lucky to have such well preserved historic places on our doorstep.
