Hi, I’m Erica. Mum to Zoe (4.5 years) and Abigail (1.5). I was born in New Zealand but for the last 14 years, London has been my home.

My husband and I want to share the wonders of the world with our young children. So we are making the most of my maternity leave and embarking on our biggest trip yet. You can read all about our detailed itinerary here.

After my first daughter was born, I discovered that travelling with young children can have its challenges, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. In fact, I was surprised how fun and rewarding it can be.

Over the past three years we’ve travelled extensively throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and Australasia as a family. It has been such a pleasure watching my kids thrive from the experiences we’ve shared and seeing their wide-eyed wonder at discovering places so very different from home. I’ve no doubt that our travels have been nothing but beneficial for our family and have brought us even closer together.

I’ve adjusted my expectations and have learnt to not sweat the small stuff. First and foremost, being away is about spending proper time together as a family, without the pressures of work and home life. If we see and do amazing things along the way, then that’s a bonus.

I’m excited about the adventures that lie ahead. I’m determined to perfect the art of travelling with a young family – packing light; picking the perfect accommodation; and getting from A to B, stress free. I’m really looking forward to sharing my experiences with you.
